STEALTH BODYBOARDS George Humpreys "El Gringo - Dirty Dozen" Polypro Core 2016/17 MODEL
Since George Humphreys’ is relatively new to the Stealth Team, it took us a while to develop a board for him to ride. The brief was pretty simple. “Thin with big nose bulbs”. We also knew it needed to handle mutant wedges and XL slabs. We’ve created exactly that in the “El Gringo”.
El Gringo Dirty Dozen 42"
A limited edition run of 12 boards Stealth has designed for George Humphreys and his quest for mutant waves.
A slab hunting machine by George Humphreys ! Bit of extra flex to handle heavy scoops and absorb bumps in big waves. Comes with channels and single rail to rail aku shaped concave for maximum hold in hollow waves.
While it uses the El Gringo template, this board uses the core technology found in the S-Flex and Militia models. The PE Core will give the board good flex, allowing you to scoop into hollow waves and feel instantly “ridden in”, while the Tension Tech will give it good projection and durability. Having a bit of extra flex also allows the boards to absorb bumps and chop in "raw" conditions.
This was designed for George for waves such as the Right and Rotto Box, so we've also given it a rail to rail single concave, combined with channels to give extra hold in heavy conditions. We realise that not everyone surfs waves of this calibre, but reckon this board would be ideal for any size "slabby waves" in cooler climates.
